Muzaffar Ali, Prahlad Kakkar, Shobha De, Raghu Rai, Farooq Sheikh, Shabana Azmi
commercial Mela Tagore, Prayag Shukla, Suresh Menon Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, MJ
Akbar, Khaled Mohammed, Christopher Doyle, Saeed Mirza, Bina Ramani, etc. The
first year of Taj Literature Festival also witnessed some of these celebrities.

The venue of the festival in 2016 was Hotel Clarks Shiraz. In 2013
when it started the venue was Delhi Public School Agra.
The Visionary of Taj
Literature Festival
Translator for the festival was the idea of Mr. Harvijay Singh
Bahia. He is a business tycoon. Once he visited the Literature Festival in
London which gave him the idea of the Taj Literature Festival.
The Awakening
Taj Literature Festival can be rightly termed as an awakening. It
came out to be a perfect and unique combination of regional National and
international collection of cultures. The festival takes the discussion on the
hot topics like money, crime, gender, etc and motivates the writers to write on
such topics and bring a positive revolution. It not only holds the discussion
but delivers certain promises to carry out writings on such topics. More of
such sensitive topics is honor killing.
The Biggest Achievement
The biggest achievement of the Tata Literature Festival was writing
of a book by the students. Some of the students in 2013 wrote a book. This is
really remarkable. As students are not even interested in reading anything and
if because of the Taj Literature Festival they are inspired to write a book, it
is really an achievement. Such an inspiration given by the Taj Literature
Festival is commendable.
The Stage Performances
5 Literature Festival not only has the collection and stalls of
books but there is a stage on which you will find a beautiful composition of
drama and music. This is how we define the celebration of a festival. The
celebrities come to the stage and give speeches to present their ideas on the
upcoming issues in society.
All this was simply not expected when we decided to visit the Taj
Literature Festival on same day Agra tour by train. It helped us to have a good collection of books, witness the
presence of some celebrities and also helped we inspire our children.
